Camilo Vargas Jácome is a lawyer with over 33 years of experience in litigation, legal consultancy, and university teaching. A graduate of the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, he has furthered his education with postgraduate studies in Civil Law at the University of Salamanca and multiple specialized seminars. He has served as an alternate judge at the Superior Court of Bogotá and is a founding partner of VJ Vargas Jácome Abogados.
His academic career includes extensive teaching in civil, commercial, and procedural law at universities such as Javeriana, Politécnico Grancolombiano, and other institutions in Colombia and abroad. He is a lecturer, author of academic articles and the book Derecho de Daños Actual, and has advised leading private sector companies. He has also participated on boards and councils of foundations in the social and business sectors.
